Robert "Bob" Earl Newburn, 58, died on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his home in Pensacola, FL. His Family was by his side as he passed into eternity to be with his Lord, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Newburn was born September 5, 1951 in Ada, OK to Kenneth Earl and Beverly Cloe Newburn of Stratford, TX. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1971 in Stratford, TX. Later he joined the US Navy and served for 20 years. Bob served in the Vietnam War, while stationed...

Robert "Bob" Earl Newburn, 58, died on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his home in Pensacola, FL. His Family was by his side as he passed into eternity to be with his Lord, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Newburn was born September 5, 1951 in Ada, OK to Kenneth Earl and Beverly Cloe Newburn of Stratford, TX. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1971 in Stratford, TX. Later he joined the US Navy and served for 20 years. Bob served in the Vietnam War, while stationed on the USS Mobile as a ship serviceman and in the Gulf War. After Bob retired from the Navy on July 30, 1991, he showed his great ability of salesmanship and connecting with others while working for Key Ford and World Ford in Pensacola. Bob definitely was a people person.
Bob was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola. He was a great family man. He and his wife adopted six children. Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling and church.
Bob is survived by his mother, Beverly C. Newburn; sisters, Beverly G. Harding and Kimberly L. Minor; brother, Eugene Newburn; his wife of 33 years, Donna Gail Rogers Newburn; daughters, Gail Dunn and Sierra Dawn Newburn; foster daughter, Ava Leighann Leggett; sons, Reymundos V. Granados, Daniel Earl Newburn, Damin Lee Newburn and Ezra Fell Newburn; daughter-in-law, Becky Garcia Granados; granddaughters Christy Granados and Christina Cloe Ann; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Earl Newburn.
The Newburns will receive friends and family for visitation from 6-8pm Monday, August 30th at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place at 10:00am Tuesday, August 31st at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Military honors.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert's honor to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.
