Stephen R. Burwinkel1941-2014Stephen R Burwinkel of Pensacola passed away Monday, December 29. He was born in Ohio in 1941 and joined the Navy in 1959. He retired in 1989 as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman. Steve was the Command Master Chief at the Navy hospitals in Guam and Pautuxet River, Maryland. He is survived by his wife, Dusty (Ires) Kirk Burwinkel, his brother, Greg (Linda) and his sister, Chris Vondohre (Ed). Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Phil (Flo). He was preceded in death by his oldest nephew, Michael.Visitation is at the Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 Warrington Road, Friday, January 2, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Prayer service at 10:00 AM. Burial is at the Barancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
